  1. @Pedro. China has hundred of car brands but even so some of the best selling car brands are not Chinese and one of them is VW. Japan has not foreign car factories and Renault Korea and GM Korea have decent sales. Germans should be more humble about cars, they live in a parallel reality where german cars are always better. You can’t discuss with them because most of them think that they are always superior, it’s surreal.

  2. Agree Pedro, fine looking car, the A6. The interior however is overkill.
All those screens, >30 buttons in the door handle alone, maybe 200 in total.
You might wonder if you entered the cockpit of a Learjet

ID’s rule, but it doesn’t help VW … at all.
    Q1 margin was 0,5% (!!)
This despite 85% of what VW sells is ‘amortized, tried & trusted’ ICE.

For the brand, break-even point in BEV sales is a far point on the horizon

  3. “Oh Happy Campers”. Come summertime, the Fiat Ducato roars ahead. This year’s #4 is no mean feat. Likely for the very same reason, Citroen’s Jumpy and Berlingo made big gains.

  4. Bryan german brands held only 57,5 % of their home market in 2024. Korean, chinese and japanese brands fare even better in their home markets. Wake up, man.

    1. In support of the recurring brilliant analyses he’s willing to share with us – humble peasants – let’s not forget Bryan R.’s acclaimed academic achievements in the field of anthropology & human behaviour. His knowledge is ab-so-lu-te-ly staggering, his wit intoxicating.

  5. Most germans don’t like Asian cars, much less Chinese cars. They are too self-centered so they don’t know that without the Chinese market VW would already be bankrupt but most of them really think they are superior, the discussions with them about cars are surreal, they really think they are above everything else. Not all but most of them.

  6. 115 BYD were sold to private customers, 211 to business customers, 642 to rental companies and 598 were dealer registrations.

410 Tesla went to private customers.

  7. Most BYD vehicles are self-registered or dealer-registered… the term “outsell” doesn’t really apply to BYD… things aren’t really going well for BYD… in the end, Tesla will probably have more real sales than BYD.
Yes, there were good leasing offers for business customers with the A6, but the new generation isn’t being delivered yet.

  8. I would like to know percentage of new A5 and A6. Maybe this awesome selling results for A6 are old ones with good discount
