Colombia April 2025: Kia and Mazda CX-30 edge into top spots
The Kia K3 is the best-selling vehicle in Colombia year-to-date.
New vehicle sales in Colombia advance 13.8% year-on-year in April to 17,430 units, leading to a year-to-date volume up 20.4% to 67,304. Kia (+29%) overtakes Renault (+19.7%) for just two units but remains #2 year-to-date. Mazda (+48.2%) surges ahead and gains two spots on last month to end up on the third step of the podium. In contrast Toyota (-25.4%), #1 a year ago, and Chevrolet (-22.9%) both freefall. Hyundai (+112.2%) shoots up at #8 ahead of Volkswagen (+39.2%) also in great shape. BYD (+391.7%) is once again the performer of the month but drops one rank on March to #10, a ranking it also holds year-to-date.
Over in the models charts, the Mazda CX-30 (+13.1%) snaps the lead for the first time since last August, just one sale above the Kia K3 (+64.4%), which holds the #1 spot year-to-date. The Toyota Corolla Cross (-24.8%), #1 last month, is down to #3 in April, distancing the Mazda2 (+133%) and the new Renault Kardian. The Renault Duster (-15.1%) and Suzuki Swift (+29.7%) follow, while the new BYD Yuan Up is up a further two ranks to #8. The Mazda CX-5 (+114%) and Nissan Kicks (+26.9%) round out the Top 10 in impressive fashion.
