Belgium April 2025: Peugeot (+129.9%) stands out once again in negative market

Peugeot delivers the best performance in the Top 15.

It’s another disappointing month for the Belgian new car market with sales off -4.7% year-on-year in April to 37,812. The year-to-date tally is now off -9.2% to 158,751. BMW (-5.5%) remains the most popular carmaker in the country with a round 10% share, distancing Volkswagen (-16%) and Dacia (-2.9%). Mercedes (+1%) edges up but once again it’s Peugeot (+129.9%) that sports the best performance near the top, namely in the Top 15. Skoda (+8%) is the only additional Top 10 member in positive, with Mini (+179.4%), Cupra (+170.7%) and Ford (+39.5%) excelling below. Tesla is down -55.3% to #19 and off -57.8% year-to-date.
