Venezuela Full Year 2024: Toyota Yaris on top, JAC up to 27.4% share

The Toyota Yaris is the best-selling vehicle in Venezuela in 2024.

For the first time since 2019 we can share with you official sales data for Venezuela. The market is up a whopping 142% year-on-year in 2024 to 17,588 units, its highest since 2014 (23,707) and returning to its 2015 level (17,585). These volumes remain tiny compared to the record high of 491.899 hit in 2007. Looking at the brands charts, Toyota (+50%) accounts for 40.4% of the market, albeit down from 65.3% last year. JAC storms into 2nd place with 27.4% share for its first appearance in the charts, distancing Changan (+64.1%) and Ford (+82.8%). Fiat reappears at #5, Dongfeng at #9 and both Foton (+219.8%) and Ram (+193.9%) impress.

Model-wise, the Toyota Yaris – only available as a sedan in the country – (+30%) sees its market share thaw from 15.1% to 8.1% but remains in the lead, distancing the Toyota Hilux (+127.1%) up two spots to #2. The JAC Arena (JS2) brilliantly lands in third place above two newcomers: the Toyota Yaris Cross and JAC La Venezolana (T6). The Toyota Fortuner (+946%), Changan Alsvin (+172%) and Toyota Prado (+99.6%) also crack the Top 10.
