Martinique (France) Full Year 2024: Renault Clio ultra dominant at 8.8% share
The Renault Clio is by far the most popular vehicle in Martinique in 2024.
New light vehicle sales in Martinique, a French overseas territory located in the Caribbean, skid -10.7% in 2024 to 14,628 units. Even though H1 sales were up 6%, a disastrous H2 (-21.8%) pulled the Full Year figure in frank negative. Renault (-10.5%) follows the market to tighten its hold on the models charts with 15.5% share. This is compared to 13.7% for Peugeot (-12.9%) vs. 14.1% over the Full Year 2023. Dacia (-14.7%) follows with 10.4% share, a slight decrease. Toyota (+2.7%) posts a fantastic year in context and advances three spots to #5, dislodging Citroen (-18.2%), Kia (-42%) and Hyundai (-18%) all underperforming. Volkswagen (+7.8%) and Opel (+2.1%) shine while Mercedes breaks into the Top 10.
Over in the models charts, the Renault Clio (-3.7%) easily holds onto the top spot with a dominant 8.8% share vs. 8.2% last year. The Peugeot 208 (-3.1%) overtakes the Dacia Sandero (-5.3%) for 2nd place, improving its share to 5.8%. The Dacia Duster (-11.8%), Citroen C3 (-15.3%) and Peugeot 2008 (-15.5%) all advance one spot on 2023, taking advantage of the freefall of the Kia Picanto (-47.8%) down three ranks to #7. The Renault Captur and Opel Mokka break into the Top 10.
