Germany private sales February 2025: Cupra Born repeats at #5

The Cupra Born is the fifth most popular model with German private buyers.

Private sales in Germany come to 66,116 in February, a 32.5% ratio, exactly the same as a year ago in February 2024 and a -6.9% year-on-year drop. Year-to-date private sales amount to 140,998 units , a 34.3% private sales ratio (PSR). This is to be compared to a 30.9% PSR and 133,161 private sales over the first two months of 2024. As it was the case over the Full Year 2024, the VW T-Roc is the favourite of German private buyers with a 41.1% PSR. It distances the VW Golf (27.2% PSR). The Dacia Sandero (75.6% PSR) is up one spot on last month to #3, exchanging positions with the VW Tiguan (27.2% PSR). The Cupra Born (89.2% PSR) repeats at an outstanding 5th place vs. #40 in the overall market ahead of the Fiat Ducato (73.5% PSR) and Skoda Karoq (62% PSR). In fact the VW Group places 7 models in the Top 9: add the Cupra Formentor (43% PSR) and Skoda Kamiq (68.5% PSR). Other models doing markedly better than in the overall market include the Seat Arona at #14 vs. #43 and the Dacia Duster at #17 vs. #52.
