French Guiana Full Year 2024: Peugeot and Dacia in the lead, negative volumes
Dacia holds 16.5% of the French Guianan market in 2024.
6,613 new light vehicles hit French Guiana roads in 2024, a -5.2% year-on-year contraction. Peugeot (-1.3%) falls slower than the market and remains the most popular carmaker in the territory with 17.8% share. Dacia (+4.6%) however is catching up with an excellent 16.5% share. Renault (+8.3%) does even better and gains almost two percentage points of share to 15.4%. Citroen (-14.2%), Toyota (-17.8%) and Kia (-16.2%) ensure the Top 6 is identical to 2023 but all fall heavily. Hyundai is up 10.1% and Mercedes breaks into the Top 10 at #9.

Over the period, he Dacia Duster (+92.5%) soars to pole piston with a dominant 9.7% share, toppling the Dacia Sandero (-4%) at 6.3%. The Peugeot 208 (-14.8%) is also down one spot year-on-year to #3 while the Peugeot 2008 (-3.8%) and Citroen C3 (+6.1%) hold onto their ranking and complete the Top 5. Notice also the Kia Picanto up 31.3% to #8.
