Slovenia January 2025: Skoda Kamiq signs first ever win

The Skoda Kamiq is the best-selling vehicle in Slovenia in January.

5,015 new cars hit Slovenian roads in January, a robust 9.7% year-on-year improvement. In the brands top spot, Volkswagen (+34.8%) vastly outpaces the market to reach 16.6% share vs. 14.9% over the Full Year 2024. In fact the entire Top 4 brands all perform better than the average. Skoda (+10.2%) and Renault (+14.2%) complete the podium while Peugeot (+78.6%) surges six spots on December to #4. Toyota (-6.5%) struggles but still manages a 5th spot with 6% share. Hyundai (+47.3%) and Ford (+14.6%) also shine in the remainder of the Top 10 with Dacia (+6%) and Kia (+1.3%) weaker. Cupra (+120.9%), Nissan (+24.1%) and Mercedes (+20%) impress below.

Over in the models charts, the Skoda Kamiq (+86.8%) storms into pole position with 3.9% share. It is the nameplate’s first ever monthly win in Slovenia, after reaching #2 in September 2023. The Peugeot 208 (+687%) is even more impressive at #2 vs. #28 in December and #13 over the Full Year 2024. The VW Golf (+218.2%) is up three spots on last month to #3 while last year’s leader, the Renault Clio (+17.1%), is down to #4. Excellent performances also by the Renault Captur (+45%) and VW T-Roc (+42%) up to #8 and #5 respectively.
