San Marino Full Year 2024: Volkswagen, Audi, Suzuki maintain grip on sales

Volkswagen holds an improved 15.7% of the San Marino market in 2024.

San Marino is a landlocked microstate located on the northeastern part of Italy. It is home to 34,000 inhabitants. 991 new cars hit San Marino roads in 2024, a +2.2% year-on-year improvement. The Top 3 carmakers clearly dominate the market with a combined share of 42.8%. In fact the podium is unchanged on last year, with Volkswagen (+4.7%) in the lead ahead of Audi (+6.1%) and Suzuki (+4.9%). Skoda (+13.6%) is strong but remains at a distant 4th place with just 5% share. Further down, notice Citroen (+133.3%), Ford (+22.7%), Renault (+20.8%), Land Rover (+18.2%) and Dacia (+14.8%) all sporting fantastic gains. Although the country is located inside Italy, Fiat is nowhere near as successful here, and even plummets -37.8% to #11 vs. #4 in 2023.
