Wales (UK) Full Year 2024: 4th consecutive year at #1 for the Ford Puma

Welsh new car sales are shy in 2024 at +0.9% year-on-year to 67,388, the slowest improvement rate of all UK nations. Keep in mind this is a zoom in by nation with the overall UK market covered in our UK Full Year 2024 update. It’s a 4th year in a row of domination for the Ford Puma (-10.5%) which however sees its share thaw to 4.1%. The Kia Sportage (+51.1%) is up six spots on 2023 to 2nd place with 3.1% share, a full percentage point above its 2023 level. MG places the HS (+3%) at #3 and the ZS (-10.9%) at #4 and even managed to place four models in the December Top 6 with the MG 4 at #5 and the MG 3 at #6. The VW T-Roc, Polo, Toyota Yaris and Volvo XC40 all appear inside the Top 10.
