Slovakia November 2024: Skoda Karoq surges to #2 in solid market
The Skoda Karoq is up to a record 2nd place in Slovakia in November.
It’s another very satisfying month for Slovak new car sales at +15.9% year-on-year in November to 8,185 units. This pulls the year-to-date tally up 2.5% to 84,737. Atop the brands charts, Skoda (+33.4%) and Volkswagen (+75.9%) continue to align fantastic results and vastly outpace the surging market. The next four carmakers are all in difficulty though, with Toyota (-22.4%) hit the hardest ad Hyundai (-19%) and Kia (-18%) also plunging. Dacia (-0.8%) is stable. Renault (+84.8%), Peugeot (+29%) and Suzuki (+19.6%) also shine in the remainder of the Top 10.
The Skoda Octavia (+16.2%) reclaims the top spot it holds year-to-date with a dominant 5.8% share. The Skoda Karoq (+102.9%) surges ahead to #2 vs. #7 year-to-date, which is believed to be its record ranking. Meanwhile last month’s leader the Skoda Fabia (+57.1%) falls to #3 but still posts an outstanding year-on-year gain, making the podium 100% Skoda. It’s not such a good story for the Kia Ceed (-12.5%) and Sportage (-15.5%), both sinking. The Skoda Kodiaq (+74.6%) is the only additional Top 10 member beating the market at #6.
