Panama Full Year 2024: Toyota Hilux leads, Forthing T5 Evo up to #5

New car sales in Panama gain 11.1% year-on-year in 2024 to 53,775 units. The Top 5 brands are unchanged on 2023 and all trail the market. Toyota (+7.7%) leads with 20.8% share, slightly below its 2023 level of 21.5%. Kia (+7%) and Hyundai (+4.5%) complete the podium ahead of Suzuki (+0.6%) and Nissan (+1.1%). Geely (+22.8%) overtakes Mitsubishi (-4%) to snap the 6th spot with 4.4% share. Changan (+27.4%) and Isuzu (+25.6%) also shine and crack the Top 10 at #8 and #9 respectively. Below, Chinese fares Jetour (+342%) and Forthing (+95.9%) both impress.

Over in the models charts, the Toyota Hilux (-1.6%) is the best-seller again with the rest of the Top 5 all posting fantastic scores. The Hyundai Grand i10 is up 44.1% and the Kia Soluto up 45.1% to #2 and #3 respectively, both up one spot on last year. The Toyota Yaris Cross lands directly at #4 with 3.9% share and the Forthing T5 Evo is up 13 ranks to #5. In contrast the Hyundai Accent (-34.7%), Creta (-5.5%) and Kia Picanto (-25.7%) all suffer.
