Panama Full Year 2015: Kia Rio shoots up past Toyota Hilux
The Kia Rio is the most popular nameplate in Panama in 2015.

The Panama new car market is up 7% year-on-year in 2015 to a record 64.737 registrations, and if Toyota holds onto the brands pole position despite sales down 4% to 21.1% share, holding off Hyundai at 18% (+9%) and Kia at 16.3% (+10%), the Japanese manufacturer loses the models top spot. After two years of Toyota Hilux domination, the Kia Rio shoots up 44% on 2014 to land in first place this year with 4.284 sales. Renault (+45%), Suzuki (+67%) and Mazda (+135%) are the most impressive carmakers, while in the models aisle, the Toyota Yaris and Hyundai Accent GL hold their ground in third and fourth places respectively, both gaining 14%.
