Oman Full Year 2024: Toyota at 52.6% share, Land Cruiser upsets Hilux

The Omani new like vehicle market advances 13% year-on-year in 2024 to 65,980 sales. Toyota (+21.2%) tightens its suffocating hold on the brands charts even further from 49.1% to 52.6% share, its highest and first above 50% since the 53.2% it reached in 2019. Hyundai (+5.4%) drops to 6.2% but gains one spot on 2023 to #2, overtaking a struggling MG (-32.7%). Isuzu (+39.7%) is up two ranks to #4, passing Kia (-0.6%) and Lexus (-10.2%) both in difficulty. Below a freefalling Changan (-21%), Mitsubishi (+29.4%) and Suzuki (+18.2%) both post stellar scores. But it’s Jetour that performs best, cracking the Top 10 at #10 vs. #30 in 2023 (incomplete figures).
Model-wise, the Toyota Land Cruiser (+63.6%) surges to 13.6% share and topples the Toyota Hilux (+46.2%) to snap the top spot for the first time since 2019, despite the Hilux also being in fantastic shape at 12.9% share. Toyota monopolises the Top 4 with the Land Cruiser Pickup (+1.7%) and Fortuner (+11.1%) in tow. The MG 5 (+3.2%) is the best of the rest again, up two ranks to #5 ahead of the Isuzu D-Max (+764%) up 8 to #6. The next 6 models are all Toyotas: the Corolla, Ace, RAV4, Prado, Yaris Sedan and Camry follow.
