Slovenia November 2024: Hyundai Tucson surges to #2

The Hyundai Tucson reaches its highest Slovenian ranking in 8 years.

New car sales in Slovenia gain a sturdy 11% year-on-year in November to 4,284 units, leading to a year-to-date volume up 8% to 49,798. Volkswagen (+14.4%) continues to dominate the brands charts with 15.4% share, slightly above its YTD level. Skoda (+11.6%) keeps Renault (+64.9%) at bay, despite the latter surging year-on-year. Hyundai (+56.1%) is up three spots on last month to #4, overtaking Toyota (-17.4%), Peugeot (+34.4%) and Dacia (+64.2%). Ford (+183.6%) sports the largest uptick in the Top 10 and Top 30, with Kia (+13.8%) also beating the market at #8.

Model-wise, the Renault Clio (+101.3%) more than doubles its sales year-on-year to reclaim the top spot it holds year-to-date. The Hyundai Tucson (+101.4%) soars 8 ranks on October to #2, its highest ranking in Slovenia, also reached in December 2016. It distances the Renault Captur (+117.7%) and last month’s leader the Skoda Octavia (stable). The rest of the Top 10 all outpace th market. The Peugeot 208 (+375%) is the most dynamic, followed by the Nissan Qashqai (+363.6%), VW T-Cross (+123.9%), VW Golf (+108.5%), Dacia Duster (+58.2%) and Skoda Kamiq (+45.5%).
