Romania November 2024: Top 4 100% Dacia, Jogger hits record ranking

The Dacia Jogger is up to a record 4th place in November.

10,237 new cars found a buyer in Romania in November, a -8.1% year-on-year loss. This means the year-to-date volume is now up 3% to 137,299. Local behemoth Dacia (-18.3%) is in a bad way, holding 27.6% of its home market vs. 29.1% year-to-date. Toyota (+1.5%) is up one spot on October to return to the 2nd place it holds year-to-date while Volkswagen (+28.6%) surges ahead to #3 vs. #5 so far this year. Skoda (+3.5%) and Kia (+9.9%) are the only additional gainers in the Top 10. If Ford (-1.2%) and Hyundai (-2.1%)  manage to maintain their fall below the market rate, it’s not the case for Renault (-28.6%), Suzuki (-17.9%) and Mercedes (-15.3%).

Over in the models charts, the Dacia Logan (+2.4%) confirms it is back to its dominant self with 10.2% of the market. The Dacia Duster (+2.6%) is also up at #2 but at 7.3% share it is well below the 9.4% it commands year-to-date. The Sandero (-45.6%) is in complete freefall at #3 while the Dacia Jogger (+63.9%) is back up to #4, a new ranking record for the nameplate. This means the Top 4 is 100% Dacia for the first time since last February. The Hyundai Tucson (-7.7%) is the best of the rest at #5, distancing the Skoda Octavia (+42.8%) and Toyota RAV4 (+58.2%) both in outstanding shape. The VW Taigo (+52.2%), Ford Kuga (+32.2%) and Kia Sportage (+21.3%) also impress.
