Ukraine October 2024: Renault overtakes Toyota for #1
Renault sales are up 79.4% in October.
The Ukrainian new car market edges up 1.3% year-on-year in October to 5,807 units. This means the year-to-date volume is now up 19.1% to 59,067. This month Renault (+79.4%) surges ahead to lodge its first monthly win since April 2022. The French carmaker holds 13.3% share vs. 10.6% so far this year. It overtakes traditional leader Toyota (-26.9%) in great difficulty this month at 11.7% of the market vs. 15.4% year-to-date. Skoda (-15.7%) also suffers year-on-year but repeats at #3 vs. #5 so far this year. Volkswagen (-36.8%) and BMW (-13.9%) also disappoint and round out the Top 5. In contrast Honda (+192.1%) soars 7 spots on September to #7 vs. #16 year-to-date and both Suzuki (+23.3%) and Peugeot (+7.5%) beat the market. Further down, BYD (+308.9%) continues to shoot up and Zeekr (+330.8%) repeats inside the Top 20 at #19 with 1.9% share.
