Saudi Arabia October 2024: Mazda (+34.3%), Kia (+15.5%) impress, Toyota Yaris Sedan #1

The Mazda CX-90 is inside the Saudi Top 40 in October.

The Saudi new car market is off -2.8% year-on-year in October to 74,047 sales, however this is mainly due to Suzuki not reporting sales for the month. The year-to-date tally is now up 6.4% to 646,268. Toyota grows 6.2% to 30.2% share vs. 29.1% year-to-date, with Hyundai (+2.1%) and Kia (+15.5%) also in positive to round out the podium. Isuzu is stable at #4 with a strong 6.4% share ahead of Ford (+5.4%) while Mazda (+34.3%) and MG (+11.9%) also shine. In contrast Geely (-17.9%), Changan (-25.4%) and Nissan (-26.2%) all freefall. Further down, Renault (+246.7%), Peugeot (+97.5%), Genesis (+35.1%) and Haval (+21.5%) stand out.

Over in the models charts, the Toyota Yaris Sedan (+35.6%) is in the lead again ahead of the Hyundai Accent (-12.6%), in difficulty year-on-year. The Toyota Camry (+19.1%) points in third position, but would be #1 when adding the HEV variant (+2.3%) which points at #9. The Hyundai Elantra (+31.4%), Isuzu D-Max (+38.2%) and Toyota Corolla (+22%) all have excellent months, but the Ford Taurus (-11.8%), Kia Pegas (-15.9%) and Toyota Hilux (-27.6%) disappoint. Below, the Kia Seltos (+154.3%), Mazda6 (+57.5%) and Hyundai Sonata (+47.7%) all impress.
