Hungary October 2024: Suzuki reclaims lead in solid market
Suzuki Swift sales are up 232.3% year-on-year in October.
119,432 new passenger cars and light commercial vehicles found a buyer in Hungary over the first 10 months of the year. This is a round 10% year-on-year improvement and means 11,987 vehicles were sold in October. Year-to-date in the PC+LCV brands charts, Toyota dominates with 12.4% share ahead of Suzuki at 11%, Ford at 9.3%, Volkswagen at 7.7% and Skoda at 7.5%. Looking at passenger cars only and for the month of October, Suzuki (+9.5%) reclaims the top spot off Skoda (+59.4%) down to #3. Toyota (-6.5%) is also up one spot on last month to #2 but drops year-on-year. Ford and Volkswagen (+5%) round out the Top 5 with Kia (+27.9%) in tow.
Model-wise, the Suzuki S-Cross (+20.2%) is back to #1, overtaking the Skoda Octavia (+63.5%) still surging year-on-year. The Suzuki Vitara (-24.8%) has to contend with third place this month but stays leader year-to-date. Excellent performance of the Ford Kuga (+202%) repeating at #4 above the Nissan Qashqai (+79.5%) and Toyota Corolla (+10.9%). The Suzuki Swift (+232.3%), Kia Sportage (+124.6%) and Dacia Duster (+51.6%) also stand out in the remainder of the Top 10.
