Argentina October 2024: Toyota Hilux (+23.9%) wins for 6th straight month
The Toyota Hilux is the best-selling vehicle in Argentina again.
41,540 new light vehicles found an Argentinean home in October, a reserved 4% year-on-year lift, marking the third consecutive positive month. The year-to-date tally remains however down at -10% to 336,201. The Top 4 carmakers are unchanged on last month and YTD and all beat the market with double-digit year-on-year gains. Toyota (+11.1%) keeps the lead at 21.4% share above Volkswagen (+20.9%), Fiat (+14.8%) and Peugeot (+18%). In contrast Renault (-29.3%), Ford (-11.9%) and Chevrolet (-15.3%) all disappoint. Jeep (+34%) lodges the largest uptick in the Top 10.
The Toyota Hilux (+23.9%) posts a 6th consecutive monthly win but remains #3 year-to-date. The Peugeot 208 (-16.7%) is weak this month but holds onto the YTD top spot. For its part the Fiat Cronos (-37.6%) is in freefall again at #3 and 6% share vs. 7.6% year-to-date. The Toyota Yaris (+114.1%) benefits from the deletion of the Etios and rallies back up three ranks on September to #4. The VW Polo (+96.8%), Toyota Corolla Cross (+82.3%) and Corolla also post outstanding results. The Peugeot 2008 (+35366.7%!) continues to enjoy the new generation at #11.
