Jordan January-September 2024: Changan #3, Toyota Land Cruiser Pickup back at #1
Changan is the third best-selling brand in Jordan.
28,720 new cars found a buyer in Jordan over the first 9 months of the year, a tiny +0.1% year-on-year improvement. Knocked down to #2 over H1, Toyota (-19.3%) reclaims the brands top spot albeit with a freefalling market share at 31.9% vs. 39.5% over the same period last year. In contrast Kia (+75.5%) surges ahead to 29.1% share vs. 16.6% in 2023. Changan (+4272.9%) skyrockets to #3 with 2,099 sales vs. #26 and 48 sales a year ago. It has knocked MG (-65.6%) down for the title of best-selling Chinese brand in the country. Lexus (+60%) also impresses at #9.
Looking at models, the Toyota Land Cruiser Pickup (-18.2%) is back in charge despite sinking sales, with the Kia Sorento (+433.1%) still in outstanding shape at #2. Below the Toyota Land Cruiser (+10.2%) advancing to #3, the Changan E-Star BEV lands directly at #4 with 5.7% share while the Kia Sportage (+204.8%) also shines at #4. The Hyundai Tucson (+79.7%) and Kia Cerato (+63.1%) also make themselves noticed in the remainder of the Top 10.
