Slovakia July 2024: Kia Ceed best-seller

The Kia Ceed is the best-selling vehicle in Slovakia in July.

New car sales in Slovakia are in difficulty in July at -14.8% year-on-year to just 6,819 units. The year-to-date tally stays in positive, just, at +0.9% to 53,961. Brand leader Skoda resists better than the market at -4.2% to 21.8% share vs. 20.5% so far this year. Volkswagen (+16.9%) lodges the only year-on-year uptick in the Top 5 and climbs to 10.6% share vs. 9.4% year-to-date. Kia (-20.7%), Hyundai (-22.8%) and Toyota (-39.4%) all sink. In contrast Peugeot (+54.5%), Ford (+17.1%), Audi (+9.2%) and Mercedes (+1.9%) all shine in the remainder of the Top 10.

Over in the models ranking, the Kia Ceed (-0.6%) is stable year-on-year and delivers its first monthly win since February 2023. It remains #4 year-to-date vs. #2 over the Full Year 2023. The Skoda Fabia (+38.5%) surges ahead to stay in 2nd place while the Skoda Octavia (-36.2%) implodes to #3. The Karoq (+17.9%) makes it three Skodas in the Top 4. Below the Hyundai i30 (-24.2%) and Skoda Kamiq (-14.5%), the Hyundai i20 (+76.4%) is up 14 spots on June to #7 and manages the largest gain in the Top 10. The Skoda Kodiaq (+12.7%) impresses at #9.
