Turkiye June 2024: Chery breaks ranking and volume records, sales down for third month in a row

Chery places two models inside the Turkish Top 6 in June.

Now with Top 50 All brands ranking.

New light vehicle sales in Turkiye endure a third straight month of year-on-year decline in June at -5.3% to 106,238 units. This is still the 2nd highest June volume in Turkish history. It includes 87,858 passenger cars (-3.6%) and 18,380 light commercials (-12.6%). The overall H1 2024 result is up 3.9% to 577,981 units. Fiat (-19.5%) reclaims the brands lead with 12.1% share and despite a tough year-on-year loss. It’s even worse for Renault (-32.7%) and Ford (-29.9%) completing the podium. Recent launch Chery (+78.1%) continues to post spectacular results, breaking its ranking (#4) and volume (7,511) records and equalling its all time high share at 7.1%, also reached in August 2023. Volkswagen (+13.3%) drops to #5 but shines year-on-year. Hyundai (+5.7%) is the only additional gainer in the Top 10.

The Fiat Egea Sedan is back to the models top spot with 7.6% share, well above the 6.3% it holds year-to-date. The Renault Megane Sedan advances to #2, upsetting the Renault Clio, leader last month and still #2 year-to-date. The Toyota Corolla Sedan is up two spots on last month to #4 with the Chery Tiggo 8 Pro down one to #5. The Chery Tiggo 7 Pro is up six ranks to #6, making it two Chery in the Top 6. The Tesla Model Y surges to 7th place above the Honda City, Hyundai i20 and Fiat Egea Cross. Note the local EV Tiggo 10X tumbles down 12 spots to #14.
