Oman H1 2024: Toyota Land Cruiser above Hilux
The Toyota Land Cruiser tops the Omani charts so far in 2024.
New vehicle sales in Oman improve 4.3% year-on-year over the First Half of 2024 to 30,390 units. Toyota (+24.6%) vastly outpaces the market to reach an out-of-this-world 54.3% share vs. 45.5% over the same period in 2023. Hyundai (-5.3%) advances to the 2nd place to the detriment of MG (-32.2%) in freefall. Isuzu (+24.3%) is also strong and gains three spots to #4. Honda (+113%) is the only remaining Top 10 member in positive just as Lexus (-17.9%) and Changan (-24.9%) skid.
The Toyota Land Cruiser (+47.9%) stands in pole position with 14.3% share vs. 10.1% over the First Half of 2023. The Toyota Hilux (+48.8%) follows at 12.4% vs. 8.7%. Far below we have the Toyota Land Cruiser Pickup (-8.4%) in decline, ahead of the Toyota Fortuner (+46.4%) in excellent shape. The MG 5 (+9.1%) drops one spot to #5 despite beating the market. The Toyota RAV4 (+123.3%), Yaris Sedan (+85.4%) and Corolla (+38.4%) all shine while the Toyota Ace lands at #8.
