Slovenia May 2024: Renault Captur manages first pole position in almost 3 years
The Renault Captur is the best-selling vehicle in Slovenia in May.
The Slovenian new car market edges up 0.3% year-on-year in May to 4,867 sales, leading to a year-to-date volume up 4% to 23,554. Both Volkswagen (+8%) and Renault (+33.1%) clearly outpace the market atop the brands charts whereas Skoda (-40.2%) freefalls to #3 but stays #2 year-to-date. Peugeot (+66.5%) and Citroen (+41.8%) manage the two largest gains in the Top 10, with Dacia (+18%), Kia (+6.1%) and Hyundai (+4.8%) also solid.
Over in the models lane, 9 of the 10 best-selling models surge year-on-year with double-digit gains. The Renault Captur (+52.7%) scores its first Slovenian monthly win in almost three years: since August 2021. The Renault Clio (+65%) drops to #2 ahead of the VW T-Cross (+39.8%) and Peugeot 2008 (+75.3%). The Renault Trafic (+197.8%), VW Tiguan (+37.8%) and Citroen C3 (+182.5%). The Peugeot 208 (+165%) and Skoda Kamiq (+65.6%) round out the Top 10 in spectacular fashion.
