Hungary Q1 2024: Suzuki Vitara and S-Cross reclaim lead in solid market
The Suzuki Vitara dominates the Hungarian charts.
37,506 new light vehicles found a buyer in Hungary of the First Quarter of 2024, a solid 8.3% year-on-year increase. The PC only total stands at 31,668, up 7.1% year-on-year. Suzuki dominates the PC+LCV charts with 13.9% share just above Toyota (13.5%). Skoda, Ford and Volkswagen complete the Top 5. As for PC only, Suzuki (+134.8%) rallies back up to the first spot as well with a splendid 16% share, with Toyota (-10.7%) in difficulty at #2 but Skoda (+30.1%) and Nissan (+354.5%) shooting up.
#3 over the Full Year 2023, the Suzuki Vitara (+212.1%) storms into the top spot of the models ranking with a dominant 6.8% share. Its facelift (pictured) was just presented. It distances fellow local the Suzuki S-Cross (+78.6%) and the Skoda Octavia (+72.8%). The Nissan Qashqai (+261.9%) jumps up to #4 vs. #20 over the Full Year 2023, ending the period above the Toyota Hilux (+73.8%), the Dacia Duster (+1.3%) and Toyota Corolla (+8.1%). Notice also the fantastic performances of the VW Golf (+147%) and Suzuki Swift (+159.8%).
