BYD scores a 2nd ever podium finish in Israel.

According to our local partner cartube.co.il, new car sales in Israel recede -20.9% year-on-year in January to 37,347 units. Hyundai (-32.7%) reclaims the brands top spot with 15.2% share, in line with the 15.5% it held over the Full Year 2023. Kia (-3.3%) resists much better at #2 while BYD (+11.1%) defies the negative market to rise to #3 with 8.9% share. This is the second time BYD ends the month on the podium alongside November 2022 when it reached 10.6% share. Toyota (+1.1%) is also very solid at #4, followed by Mazda (-42%) in freefall. All remaining Top 17 brands are in negative, with Suzuki (-0.6%) and Skoda (-8.1%) resisting best.
