Slovenia October 2023: Peugeot 2008 and Toyota Yaris Cross on podium
The Peugeot 2008 is up to a record 2nd place in Slovenia this month.
The Slovenian new car market is up 13% year-on-year to 3,881 units, this still being a lukewarm result as October 2022 was down -18.7% on the year prior. The year-to-date tally now stands at 42,258, up 5.1% on the same period last year. Volkswagen (-2.4%) reclaims the brands top spot off Skoda (+6.7%) and reinforces its YTD leadership. Toyota (+54.2%) and Renault (+44.4%) both shoot up while Peugeot (+2.7%) and Citroen (+0.4%) are a lot more muted. Dacia (+136.8%) and Audi (+41.4%) also score spectacular year-on-year gains in the remainder of the Top 10. Mazda (+188.2%), Nissan (+275%),Tesla (+590.9%) and most strikingly MG (+7500%) shine below.
Model-wise, the Skoda Octavia (-11.8%) remains the most popular vehicle in the country with one percentage point margin over the rest of the pack. The Peugeot 2008 (+51.2%) leaps up 15 spots on September to land at a fantastic 2nd place, a ranking it also held in September 2021. The Toyota Yaris Cross (+163%) is even more dynamic year-on-year and raises 9 ranks on last month to #3. The Citroen C3 (+60.6%), Skoda Kamiq (+96.2%) and VW T-Roc (+96.1%) all impress below with the Dacia Duster (+257.9%) and VW Polo (+28.6%) stand out among the rest of the Top 10.
