Slovenia July 2023: Renault (+47.1%) pushes Austral to record #9
2nd Top 10 finish in Slovenia for the Renault Austral
The Slovenian new car market is stable in July at -0.5% year-on-year to 3,776 units, leading to a year-to-date tally up 4.9% to 31,086. We remain at historically low levels given July 2022 was down -14.2% over the year prior and July 2021 was off -31.1% on 2020. the year prior. Volkswagen (-15.7%) is hit hard but stays in pole position with 15.9% share, distancing a euphoric Renault (+47.1%). The French manufacturer overtakes Skoda (-16.9%) with Toyota (+13%) also very solid below. Dacia (+36.5%) surges ahead to #5 just as Audi (+16.7%) is the last gainer remaining in the Top 10. Hyundai (-45.4%) and Peugeot (-27.3%) suffer.
Model-wise, the Skoda Octavia (-3.3%) lodges its 4th consecutive monthly win, cementing its year-to-date leadership above the Renault Clio (-36.1%) ranking #7 this month. A couple of nameplates break their ranking record this month: the Toyota Yaris Cross (+70.6%) is up to #2 and the new Renault Austral up to #9. The VW T-Cross (+66.2%) is up 19 spots on June to #3 while the VW Taigo (+13%) is up 15 to #4. The Dacia Sandero (+16.9%) also shines at #5 ahead of a struggling VW T-Roc (-11%). The Tesla Model Y (+446.7%) is up 20 ranks on last month to return inside the Top 10 at #8.
