Serbia May 2023: VW Taigo up to #2, Skoda Octavia now #1 year-to-date
The VW Taigo is the 2nd best-selling vehicle in Serbia in May.
Based on data by our Central European partner CE Auto, the Serbian new car market gains 6.3% year-on-year in May to 2,854 units. The year-to-date volume is now up 2.7% to 11,838 sales. The Skoda Octavia repeats at #1 and snaps the YTD top spot in the process, dislodging the Toyota Corolla (+57.5%) down to #8 for the month. After lodging its first Top 10 finish in April, the VW Taigo climbs a further four spots to land in 2nd place with 4.4% share. The Skoda Superb (+16.7%) rounds out the podium above the Skoda Scala and Hyundai Tucson. #1 a year ago, the Dacia Sandero (-50%) falls to #6 with the Opel Corsa pointing its bonnet inside the Serbian Top 10 for the 2nd time in the past 3 months at #7.
