Slovenia February 2023: Toyota Corolla signs first win in market sliding down -1.3%

The Toyota Corolla is the most popular vehicle in Slovenia in February.

The Slovenian new car market edges down -1.3% year-on-year in February to 3,754 units, bringing the year-to-date tally up 0.7% to 8,179. Volkswagen (+17%) dominates the brands ranking head and shoulders at 15.1% share, followed by Skoda (+6.4%) at 9.8% of the market. Renault (-12.8%) is in a difficult position at #3 and 9.5% share but up 25.5% year-to-date thanks to a formidable January score (+60.6%). Toyota (-0.6%) is stable and gains two spots on January to #4, distancing Kia (-30.4%) in a bad way and Dacia (+50%) euphoric. Fiat (+84.6%) also impresses at #10. 

Over in the models aisle, the Toyota Corolla (+197.7%) lodges what is believed to be its first ever monthly win in Slovenia, three sales above the Fiat 500 (+166%). The Dacia Sandero (+21.5%) is up 16 ranks on last month to land on the third step of the podium. The Renault Captur (+40.5%) soars year-on-year but drops two spots on January to #4. Leader in January, the Renault Clio (-44.3%) implodes to #5. Excellent showings for the Skoda Kamiq (+29.5%), VW Taigo (+63.8%) and VW T-Cross (+27%) in the remainder of the Top 10.
