Poland February 2023: 4 Toyotas in Top 4 led by Yaris, Yaris Cross in market up 14.3%

The Toyota Yaris Cross is #2 in Poland in February.

37,825 new cars found a Polish home in February, a 14.3% year-on-year improvement leading the year-to-date volume to 17% surge at 72,200 units. Toyota (+33.4%) is once again extremely strong, staying very close to the all-time record share it hit last month at 22.8% vs. 23% in January. Skoda (+34.9%) is also very dynamic at #2 with 10.1% share ahead of two struggling Koreans: Kia (-6%) and Hyundai (-14.7%). Below, Mazda (+61.4%), Volkswagen (+30.4%), Audi (+29%) and Volvo (+15.3%) also outpace the market while Opel climbs to #11.

Model-wise, after spectacularly monopolising the Top 5 last month, Toyota does one less in February and has four models in the Top 4. The Yaris (+56.7%) is up to pole position both for the month and year-to-date, and is followed by January’s leader the Yaris Cross (+179.3%). The Corolla (-9.5%) follows ahead of the C-HR (+156.9%) up 8 spots on January to #4. In fact Toyota has 6 nameplates in the Top 10: add the new Corolla Cross at #9 and the RAV4 (-57.4%) at #10. The Dacia Duster (+15.1%) is the best of the rest, up five ranks to #5 above the Skoda Octavia (+11.7%) and a Hyundai Tucson (-35.6%) in trouble.
