Greece February 2023: Citroen C3 best-seller, market up another 17.2%

The Citroen C3 is the most popular vehicle in Greece in February.

9,956 new cars found a home in February in Greece, a 17.2% year-on-year improvement following a stratospheric January performance (+90.7%). The year-to-date volume is now 46.2% to 20,488 units. Peugeot (+141.5%) surges ahead to snap the brands top spot with 13.1% share and now ranks #2 year-to-date (+159.9%). Toyota (-5.7%) is weak but stays in 2nd place and even manages to edge into the YTD pole position. Citroen (+124.2%) is also very impressive at #3 and gains 192.8% year-to-date (#4). Leader last month, Opel (+29.9%) posts another strong year-on-year result but drops to #4. BMW (+23.5%) and Audi (+42.2%) also outpace the market in the remainder of the Top 10. Below, Alfa Romeo (+966.7%) and DS (+468.8%) stand out.

The Citroen C3 (+133.3%) is the best-selling vehicle in the country this month, followed by the Peugeot 208 (+208.9%). In fact, the entire Top 4 produces triple-digit year-on-year lifts: the Opel Corsa (+114.9%), leader last month, ranks #3 and the Peugeot 3008 (+362.5%) is up six spots on January to #4. The Toyota Yaris Cross (+82.4%) is also in great shape at #5 with the Renault Clio (+32.7%) also beating the market in the remainder of the Top 10. The Toyota C-HR (+10.8%) is a little shy whereas the 2022 leader, the Toyota Yaris (-30.8%) is in complete freefall at #6. The Citroen C3 Aircross (+733.3%) and Peugeot 308 (+964.3%) make waves below.
