Thanks to data by SMMT, we can share with you a zoom in on England as a UK nation, keep in mind overall UK sales figures have already been analysed in our UK Full Year 2022 update. English sales drop -2.7% year-on-year in 2022 to 1,373,657 units. The Nissan Qashqai (+44.5%) storms into the top spot as it does in the UK, while the Tesla Model Y lands directly at #2 with 2.4% share vs. #3 in the UK overall. The Ford Puma (+21.5%) is up six spots to #3 overall, distancing the Mini (+1.4%) down one rank to #4. Leader last year, the Vauxhall Corsa (-21.8%) sinks four spots to #5. The Kia Sportage (+12.8%) follows while the Hyundai Tucson, Ford Kuga and Kia Niro break into the Top 10.
