UK nations October 2022: Ford Fiesta tops 2 nations, MG HS #2 in Wales

The Ford Fiesta is #1 in Northern Ireland and Wales.

Thanks to SMMT we can share with you the Top 10 best-sellers for each UK nation in October. Keep in mind this is a zoom in by nation, all sales figures are already included in the October 2022 UK update. In an overall market up 26.5%, Scotland fares best at +28.6% to 11,820 sales, followed by England at +26.7% to 114,410 sales, Wales at +24.2% to 4,903 sales and Northern Ireland at +14.2% to 2,948. Year-to-date, the UK market as a whole is down -5.6% and only Northern Ireland (+2.7% to 33,726) and Scotland (+2% to 120,515) are in positive. Wales is down -1.1% to 48,722 and England down -6.7% to 1,136,672.

The podium finishers are as below: the Ford Fiesta is #1 in Northern Ireland and Wales, #2 in England, and #5 in Scotland, the Nissan Qashqai is #1 in England, #3 in Northern Ireland, #4 in Scotland and #5 in Wales, the Vauxhall Corsa is #1 in Scotland, the Ford Puma #2 in Northern Ireland, #3 in Scotland and #3 in Wales, the Vauxhall Mokka #2 in Scotland and #4 in Wales, the MG HS #2 in Wales and the VW Golf #3 in England.

Other great performers include the Fiat 500 up to #6 in England, Vauxhall Grandland #6 in Scotland, Toyota Yaris #6 in Northern Ireland, #7 in Wales and #10 in England, Peugeot 2008 #7 in England and #8 in Northern Ireland, Ford Ecosport #7 in Northern Ireland and Audi A3 up to #8 in England.
