Cyprus September 2022: Kia Stonic #1, market up 16.5%

The Kia Stonic is the most popular vehicle in Cyprus in September.

According to our local partners SEMO Cyprus and INNOSOFT, new car sales in Cyprus gain 16.5% year-on-year to 1,186 units, leading to a year-to-date tally up 5.6% to 9,071. The Kia Stonic (+38.9%) claims the pole position this month and for the second time in the past four months but stays at a low #7 year-to-date. The Toyota Yaris (+213.3%) rallies back up year-on-year but drops one spot on August to #2. It remains by far the best-selling vehicle in the country so far this year. The VW T-Roc (+44.4%) also drops one rank to #3 ahead of the Kia Sportage (+17.3%). The Kia Picanto (+173.3%) and Rio (+100%) both post fantastic year-on-year upticks as does the Jeep Renegade (+237.5%) in the remainder of the Top 10. The VW Taigo breaks into the YTD Top 30 at #29.
