Turkey July 2022: Fiat (+93.6%) breaks record share again
Fiat is up to a record 26.2% share in Turkey in July.
52,206 new light vehicles hit Turkish roads in July, a 9.1% year-on-year increase but keep in mind July 2021 was a particularly weak month at -45.2% on the year prior. This means the year-to-date tally is now down -7.3% to 410,110 units. Fiat (+93.6%) posts a spectacular year-on-year gain, almost doubling its July 2021 volume to reach a new record share at 26.2%, eclipsing its previous best of 22.2% hit just last month. This is to be compared with 14% share at home in Italy. Volkswagen (+2.6%) is up two spots on June to #2 while Ford (-9.5%) remains at #3. Renault is down two ranks month-on-month but benefits from an especially weak year-ago level to climb 69.6% year-on-year. Dacia (-11.2%) manages to slip inside the Top 5 brands for the first time since last January. Opel (+60.8%) and BMW (+23%) also post great performances in the remainder of the Top 10 while Kia (-1.7%) is up four spots on June to #9.
