Thailand April 2022: Toyota (+13.4%) and Isuzu (+11%) outpace market up 5.2%

Toyota remains the best-selling manufacturer in Thailand in April.

The Thai new vehicle market is up 5.2% year-on-year in April to 61,137 registrations. This has the year-to-date volume up 12.6% to 284,025 units. Market leaders Toyota (+13.4%) and Isuzu (+11%) outpace the market growth to improve their share to 35.4% and 27.1% respectively vs. 34.7% and 26.1% year-to-date. This means these two manufacturers hold a whopping 62.5% of the market this month. The Top 6 is unchanged on March with Honda (-5.8%), Mitsubishi (-5.8%) underperforming, Mazda (+24.7%) very strong and Ford (-8.9%) enduring the largest drop among them. Below, Suzuki (+21.8%) shines and is up two spots on March to #7 whereas MG (-22.5%) slumps to #8 and Nissan (-56.4%) implodes to #9. Notice also Hino (+26.6%), Hyundai (+119.6%), Peugeot (+33.3%) and Foton (+270%) all sporting very solid upticks.
