Jordan March 2022: Isuzu (+194.4%), Nissan (+75.3%) defy market down -10.7%
Isuzu sales are up 194.4% in a market down -10.7%
The Jordanian new light vehicle market drops -10.7% year-on-year in March to 2,530 units. Toyota (-18.4%) remains the favourite carmaker by far with 31.8% share and despite falling faster than the market. Isuzu (+194.4%) spectacularly swims upstream and triple its year-ago volume to reach 14.7% share, overtaking Hyundai (-55.9%) and Kia (-5.2%). Nissan (+75.3%) also vastly improves on a year-ago to round out the Top 5. MG (+52.9%) is up to #6, with Chevrolet (+195.5%) and Honda (+32.4%) also in outstanding shape in the remainder of the Top 10. Newcomer Changan lands directly at #10, while Geely (+141.2%) also impresses at #12.
Over in the models ranking, the Toyota Land Cruiser Pickup (-6.8%) holds onto the top spot with 14.1% share but is followed this time by the Isuzu N-Series (+140%). The Toyota Hilux (+11%), Kia Frontier (+39.8%) also shine but the Mitsubishi L200 (-79%) crumbles. In the remainder of the Top 10, the Isuzu TF (+1283.3%), Kia Picanto (+762.5%), Nissan Sunny (+405.9%) and MG5 (+346.7%) all post surreal year-on-year gains. The Toyota Corolla Cross (#14), Geely Coolray (#28), Changan CS15 (#36) and Chevrolet Groove (#39) aka Baojun 510 are the best-selling recent launches in Jordan so far.
