Serbia January 2022: Skoda Fabia cements domination, Kia Sorento #5 in market up 20.5%
The Kia Sorento breaks into the Serbian Top 10 for the first time, directly to #5.
Our central European partner CE Auto says new car sales in Serbia bounce back up 20.5% year-on-year in January to 1,620 units. The Skoda Fabia (+388.6%) cements the leadership it established over the Full Year 2021 with a formidable 10.6% share thanks to sales up almost 5-fold on January 2021. The Dacia Sandero takes the 2nd spot vs. #9 over FY2021 while the Citroen C3 rounds out the podium vs. #10 over FY2021. The Fiat 500L (-37.8%) is down to #4 whereas it lead the market in January 2021. We have a new entrant in the Top 10: the Kia Sorento arriving directly at #5. The Skoda Octavia (-39.2%) freefalls to #6 vs. #3 over the FY2021 while the Jeep Compass signs a rare Top 10 finish at #8.
