Luxembourg January 2022: Audi (+47.2%), Mini (+50.6%) can’t prevent market fall (-11.9%)
Audi sales are up 47.2% year-on-year in Luxembourg in January.
New car sales in Luxembourg skid down -11.9% year-on-year in January to just 3,300 units. Volkswagen (-6.1%) halves the market decline to remain in first place with 12.7% share vs. 11.6% over the Full Year 2021. Mercedes (-17.7%) also retains the 2nd spot with 11.9% share vs. 10.2% over FY2021 while Audi (+47.2%) scores the biggest gain in the Top 9 to rank #3 for the month, distancing BMW (-39.9%) in difficulty. Peugeot (+1.3%) rounds out the Top 5 in positive. Mini (+50.6%) is the most impressive in the Top 10 and is up 9 spots on December to #10. Renault is stable while Opel (-2%) and Fiat (-6.7%) manage to contain their losses to the single-digits. Let’s also salute Porsche (+82.3%), Kia (+33.3%) and Cupra (+17.6%) further down.
