Hungary January 2022: Suzuki S-Cross #1, Ssangyong Korando up to #8, market off -14%
The Suzuki S-Cross is the best-selling vehicle in Hungary in January.
In January, 9,150 new passenger cars and light commercial vehicles hit the road, a -14% year-on-year decline. That includes 8,088 passenger cars. Toyota (+75%) topples Suzuki (-30.1%) in the passenger car brands ranking, with Ford (-18.5%), Skoda (+10.5%), Volkswagen (+4.8%) and Kia (+54.6%) in tow. Model-wise, the Suzuki S-Cross is helped by the new generation to the top spot with 5.7% share, sending the Suzuki Vitara down to #2. The Skoda Octavia climbs to the third step of the podium with 4.1% share vs. 3.1% over the Full Year 2021, ahead of the Kia Ceed and Toyota Corolla. The Toyota RAV4 is up to #7 vs. #16 over the FY2021, the Ssangyong Korando posts its first Top 10 finish in Hungary vs. #38 over FY2021, the Ford Focus is up from #20 in FY2021 to #9 and the Toyota Yaris Cross makes its first appearance in the Hungarian Top 10 at #10.
