England (UK) Full Year 2021: Vauxhall Corsa and Tesla Model 3 top market up 0.6%

Thanks to our partnership with SMMT, we can share with you a zoom in on England as a UK nation, keep in mind overall UK sales figures have already been analysed in our UK Full Year 2021 update. English sales edge up 0.6% year-on-year in 2021 to 1,412,471 units. As it is the case in the UK, the Vauxhall Corsa (-6.1%) take the lead here with 2.4% share, whereas last year’s leader the Ford Fiesta is knocked outside the Top 10… The Tesla Model 3 (+43.4%) surges from #8 last year to #2, with the Mini (+0.8%) up four spots to #3. The Mercedes A-Class (-19.7%) is up one rank to #4, ensuring the Top 4 models mimic the overall UK ranking. The VW Golf (-30.3%) is down three spots to #5, distancing the Nissan Qashqai (-13.4%) and VW Polo (+15.1%). The BMW 3 Series reappears inside the year-end Top 10 whereas it doesn’t do so in the UK, with the Ford Puma (+7.9%) and Toyota Yaris rounding out the Top 10.
