Croatia November 2021: Renault and Twingo take charge in market edging down -3.6%

The Renault Twingo is the best-selling vehicle in Croatia in November.

The Croatian new car market edges down -3.6% year-on-year in November to 2,560 registrations, keeping in mind November 2020 was already down -23.6% on the year prior. The year-to-date tally now stands at 42,805 units, up 25.9% on the same period in 2020. Renault (+70.1%) goes completely against the negative market with a splendid year-on-year uptick pushing it to #1 brand for the month with 12.4% share, exactly double its YTD level of 6.2%. It is however not the best performing marque in the Top 10, this honour going to Kia (+123.4%), with Hyundai (+115.7%), Toyota (+93.4%), Mazda (+67.9%) and Dacia (+30.2%) also extremely dynamic. Peugeot (+8.5%) also manages a year-on-year gain but Volkswagen (-53.4%), Opel (-49%) and Skoda (-35.1%) skid down.

Model-wise, the Renault Twingo (+212.2%) easily takes the lead this month after ranking #3 in October, but still doesn’t appear in the YTD Top 20. It distances last month’s leader the Dacia Duster (+27%) and a Skoda Octavia (-35.8%) in freefall but up five spots on October to #3. The Hyundai Tucson (+528.6%) soars 8 ranks to #4 as does the Dacia Sandero (+22%) at #5. The Peugeot 2008 (+178.3%) almost triples its sales year-on-year and ends the month at #6 ahead of a Renault Clio (+50%) in great shape. Other great performers include the Kia Xceed (#8), Fiat Panda (#10), Kia Sportage (#12), Mazda CX-30 (#15), Kia Rio (#16) and Hyundai i30 (#18).
