UK nations September 2021: Nissan Qashqai tops Northern Ireland
The Nissan Qashqai is the best-selling vehicle in Northern Ireland this month.
Thanks to our partnership with SMMT we can share with you the Top 10 best-sellers for each UK nation in September. Keep in mind this is a zoom in by nation, all sales figures are already included in our September 2021 UK update. This month Wales (-28.8%) fares best at 8.637 units, followed by Scotland (-30.3%) at 19.395, Northern Ireland (-31.2%) at 3.449 and England (-35.1%) at 183.523. Year-to-date, this time Scotland (+16.4%) is the most dynamic at 109.000 units ahead of Northern Ireland (+7.3%) at 30.247 and England (+5.3%) at 1.128.723 whereas Wales (-3.5%) is the only UK nation in negative this year at 45.307 units.
The podium finishers are as follows: the Tesla Model 3 is #1 in England, the Nissan Qashqai #1 in Northern Ireland, the Vauxhall Corsa #1 in Scotland and #3 in England, the Ford Puma #1 in Wales and now #1 year-to-date there, the BMW 3 Series #2 in England, the VW Golf #2 in Northern Ireland, the Renault Clio #2 in Scotland, the MG ZS #2 in Wales, the Hyundai Tucson #3 in Northern Ireland and now #1 year-to-date there and #5 in Scotland, the Toyota C-HR #3 in Scotland and the Kia Sportage #3 in Wales. Only the Vauxhall Corsa manages to post two podium finishes this month.
Other great performers include the Dacia Sandero #5 in Wales and #6 in Northern Ireland, the Hyundai Kona #6 in Scotland, the Kia Picanto #6 in Wales, the Kia Niro #7 in England vs. #9 in the UK, the Vauxhall Mokka #7 in Scotland for a second Top 10 finish in the past 3 months, the Nissan Juke #8 in Northern Ireland and #10 in England and the Kia Ceed #9 in Wales for its first ever Top 10 finish.
