Bulgaria September 2021: Dacia and Renault equal #1, sales off -12.1%
The Renault Express is up to #10 in Bulgaria in September.
The Bulgarian new car market drops -12.1% year-on-year in September to 1.932 registrations, leading to a year-to-date tally up 18.6% to 24.008 units. Dacia (-4.5%) and Renault (-22.3%) end the month equal #1 in the brands ranking with 12.1% share each but it’s Dacia (+51.2%) that easily holds the year-to-date top spot. Toyota (-39.1%) struggles in third place whereas Kia (+80.9%) surges four spots on August to #4 and Ford (+21.6%) is up seven to #5. Mercedes (+36.4%) and BMW (+11.9%) also shine in the remainder of the Top 10. Further down, Volvo (+109.1%), Seat (+75%), Suzuki (+62.1%), Lexus (+55.6%), Citroen (+34.7%), Audi (+31%) and Mazda (+28.6%) impress.
Model-wise, the discontinued Dacia Dokker remains the best-seller in Bulgaria with 5.1% share vs. 6.7% so far this year, it distances the Renault Clio and Ford Transit/Custom both up 9 spots on August to #2 and #3 respectively. The Renault Master is up three to #4 and the Dacia Duster down three to #5. The Kia Ceed shoots up to 6th place ahead of the Nissan Qashqai, Kia Sportage and Toyota Corolla. The new Renault Express is up 15 ranks on last month to #10.
