UK nations July 2021: Toyota C-HR #2 in Northern Ireland and Scotland

 

Fantastic month for the Toyota C-HR in Northern Ireland and Scotland.

Thanks to our partnership with SMMT we can share with you the Top 10 best-sellers for each UK nation in July. Keep in mind this is a zoom in by nation, all sales figures are already included in our July 2021 UK update.  Northern Ireland (-26.1%) at 3.248 units and England (-28.5%) at 105.047 resist best this month whereas Scotland (-35.3%) at 10.065 and Wales (-42.2%) at 4.470 struggle. Year-to-date, this time Scotland (+42.8%) at 83.449, England (+24%) at 886.669 and Northern Ireland (+23.2%) at 24.096 perform best whereas Wales (+8.7%) at 34.307 only edges up.

There is a different winner in each UK nation this month. The VW Polo tops England as it does in the UK overall, the Hyundai Kona is #1 in Northern Ireland for the 2nd time in the past 3 months, the Vauxhall Corsa tops Scotland as it does year-to-date and the Ford Puma is #1 in Wales for the third time in the past 4 months. Note the Ford Puma is now #1 year-to-date in Northern Ireland. The other podium finishers are the Toyota C-HR #2 in Northern Ireland and Scotland, the Toyota Yaris #2 in England and #3 in Wales, the Ford Fiesta #2 in Wales, Kia Sportage #3 in England, Hyundai Tucson #3 in Northern Ireland and now #2 YTD and the Toyota Corolla #3 in Scotland in what is its first Top 10 finish and #8 in Northern Ireland.

Notice also the Kia Picanto up to #6 in Wales, the VW Tiguan #8 in Wales and #9 in England, the Dacia Duster #9 in Wales, the BMW 1 Series #9 in Scotland, the Toyota Aygo signing first Top 10 finish in Northern Ireland at #10 and the MG HS breaking the Welsh Top 10 for the first time at #10.
