Singapore June 2021: Mercedes takes the lead in market down -28.1% on pre-pandemic
Mercedes sales are up 14-fold year-on-year in June.

New car sales in Singapore bounce back up 316.3% year-on-year in June to 4.429 units, leading to a year-to-date tally up 56.3% to 25.777. However June 2021 volumes remain well down on the pre-pandemic levels of two years ago at -28.1% on June 2019. This month Mercedes (+1285.5%) brilliantly takes the lead of the brands ranking with 19.4% share vs. 16.3% so far this year. BMW (+353.3%) takes the 2nd spot at 16.9% of the market vs. 12% YTD. Leader halfway through 2020, Toyota (+332.3%) is relegated to third place in June at 16% share vs. 20.1% YTD. Hyundai (+111.4%) is up to #4 above Honda (+30.8%) while Audi (+1954.5%) and Volkswagen (+1009.1%) also vastly outpace the market in the remainder of the Top 10. Land Rover (+3000%), Opel (+2900%), Volvo (+1300%) and MG (+1250%) also shine further down.
