Serbia May 2021: Skoda Fabia and Octavia on top, market up 29.2%

Skoda Octavia sales are up 71.6% year-on-year in Serbia in May.

According to data by our Central European partner CE Auto, new car sales in Serbia are up a measured and somewhat disappointing 29.2% year-on-year in May to 2.742 units, leading to a year-to-date tally up 36.6% to 12.225. Keep in mind May 2020 sales were down -43.9% on the year prior. The Skoda Fabia (+56.3%) remains the most popular vehicle in the country above the Skoda Octavia (+71.6%) and Kia Sportage (+77.6%) in a podium replicating the April order. The Fiat Tipo (+53.1%) lurches up 6 spots on April to #4 while the Fiat 500L and Toyota Corolla are both up one to #5 and #6 respectively. Leader one year ago, the Renault Clio (-39.8%) implodes to #7 this month while the Fiat Panda points its bonnet in 10th place overall.
