UK nations April 2021: Peugeot 208 tops Scotland, Ford Puma tops Wales

Thanks to our partnership with SMMT we can share with you the Top 10 best-sellers for each UK nation in April. Keep in mind this is a zoom in by nation, all sales figures are included in our April 2021 UK update. Compared to devastated April 2020 volumes, Northern Ireland is the most dynamic at +13629.7% to 3.295 units, with Wales up 6751.4% to 4.796 and Scotland up 5686.2% to 12.151. England is up a more reasonable 2998.4% to 120.867 units. Year-to-date, Scotland fares best at +36.4% to 45.955, followed by England at +15.5% to 488.366, Northern Ireland at +9.8% to 11.741 and Wales at +0.6% to 18.357.
Rare event, in April each UK nation has a different best-seller. The Vauxhall Corsa is #1 in England, the Ford Focus is #1 in Northern Ireland where Ford monopolises the Top 4 with the Puma, Fiesta and Kuga in tow. The Peugeot 208 is #1 in Scotland for the first time since we started following this market monthly in 2013 and the Ford Puma is #1 in Wales for the third time after last October and November but also #2 in Northern Ireland and #5 in both England and Scotland.
Other podium finishers are the Mercedes A-Class #2 in England, the Ford Fiesta #2 in Scotland and Wales and #3 in England and Northern Ireland, the Kia Sportage #3 in Scotland and the MG ZS #3 in Wales. Notable performers include the Peugeot 2008 #4 in Scotland, the Toyota C-HR #5 in Northern Ireland, the Kia Picanto #7 in Wales, the Nissan Juke #7 in Northern Ireland and the Dacia Duster #10 in Wales.
